Results of Edge vs. AJ Styles at WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2022

Edge vs. AJ Styles took place at WWE Wrestlemania 38 Sunday. Here are the highlights…

* Damian Priest was banned from ringside. Styles’ shoulder was taped up.

* Styles went after Edge right when the match started. Edge quickly retreated to the outside but Styles stayed after him. Styles hit a springboard moonsault to Edge on the outside. Styles went for the phenomenal forearm but Edge caught him with a dropkick to the bad shoulder. Edge then sent Styles into the ring post and steel steps.

* Styles started to make a comeback and got the calf crusher on but Edge was able to reach the rope. Edge exposed the middle turnbuckle but he ended up being sent into it. Styles rolled up Edge but Edge was able to kick out.

* With one good arm, Styles hit the Styles Clash but Edge kicked out. Styles went to the top rope and Priest arrived by the ramp. Finn Balor ran down to ringside and attacked Priest. A mystery person then knocked Styles off the top rope and Edge applied a sleeper hold submission. Styles passed out and Edge was declared the winner.

* After the match, the mystery person was unmasked as Rhea Ripley.
