Results of Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title from the March 6th 2026 edition of Smackdown
As seen during the March 6th 2026 edition of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre defended the WWE Title against Cody Rhodes.
Cody went for the Disaster Kick, but McIntyre pulled the referee in the way. Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes, but there was no referee. He called for another one, but then McIntyre hit a Claymore, and Cody kicked out.
McIntyre got mad at the referee and gave him a Glasgow Kiss. He grabbed a chair, but Jacob Fatu took it away. McIntyre hit a Future Shock DDT on Cody and but missed a Claymore. Cody responded with a Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes to regain the title.
Cody will defend his title against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42. A contract signing will take place on next week’s SmackDown.
