Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins in a champion vs. champion match took place at WWE Crown Jewel 2025. Here are the highlights…

For his entrance, Rollins wore the watch that Cody had given him. Rollins’ ring gear paid tribute to what he had worn in previous matches against Cody.

After Cody gained the early advantage, Rollins slipped to the outside, and fans chanted, “Seth is a wanker,” at him. Cody continued with his momentum, and Rollins was visibly frustrated. Rollins shoved Michael Cole but was stopped by Cody. Rollins finally gained the advantage by sending Cody into the steel steps.

While in control, Rollins mocked Stardust’s cartwheel taunt. He applied a Figure Four Leglock, but Cody escaped. At one point, the fans started a “CM Punk” chant. Cody came back with a Vertebreaker, and both men were down.

Cody started to build momentum with moves that included a Cody Cutter, but then Rollins hit a Pedigree. Rollins used the Cross Rhodes on Cody but couldn’t secure the victory. He hit another Pedigree followed by a stomp, but Cody kicked out again.

Rollins grabbed his watch and contemplated using it as a weapon but didn’t. Cody took advantage of the situation with a Cutter, followed by another Cross Rhodes, but Rollins was able to kick out. With Cody hanging in a corner, Rollins hit a coast-to-coast headbutt, but Cody managed to kick out. Rollins delivered a top-rope Spanish Fly into a Rock Bottom, but Cody kicked out yet again. After both men were on the top rope, Cody delivered an Avalanche Cross Rhodes, but Rollins managed to kick out.

The two men traded blows. Rollins grabbed his watch, and after the referee was accidentally struck, he used the watch as a weapon. Rollins hit Cody with a Curb Stomp, followed by a super stomp to win the match.

After the match, Triple H presented Rollins with the Crown Title and ring. In a post-match promo, Rollins gloated about his victory.
