A Casino Gauntlet match to crown the first AEW National title took place at AEW Full Gear 2025. Here are the highlights…
The Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin started the match in a respectful fashion. Ricochet, the third entrant, cut a promo and complained about them not being more aggressive. Gates of Agony then attacked Lashley and Benjamin, while Ricochet hit MVP with his microphone. Ricochet attempted a dive on the fourth entrant, Claudio, but was caught with an uppercut. Ricochet was able to fight back, but Daniel Garcia then entered as the fifth entrant.

Orange Cassidy was the sixth entrant. Wheeler Yuta was the seventh entrant, which allowed the Death Riders to triple-team Cassidy and Ricochet.

The next entrants were Kevin Knight, Roderick Strong, Mark Davis, Mike Bailey, and Matt Minard. After several minutes on the floor, Lashley and Benjamin returned to the match in dominant fashion. After things broke down, Ricochet pinned Knight with the Spirit Gun to win the title.
