* The two had a staredown with Big E having words for McIntyre and then the two locked up. Big E didn’t budge when McIntyre hit his first shoulder tackle. McIntyre hit another one and managed to get Big E down. McIntyre hit a belly to belly suplex to Big E on the outside and gained the upper hand.

* Big E made a comeback and hit McIntyre with several belly to belly suplexes of his own but McIntyre quickly stopped Big E’s momentum.

* The match continued to go back and forth and then McIntyre hit a future shock DDT but Big E kicked out. McIntyre went for a claymore but Big E caught him with a powerbomb and then put on a submission. McIntyre escaped but Big E managed to hit the big ending. However, McIntyre kicked out.

* Big E went for a super big ending but McIntyre countered with a bulldog off the top. McIntyre then hit the claymore but Big E kicked out. The crowd erupted in a “holy shit” chant also did a “one more time” chant.

* McIntyre tried to hit a big ending of his own but Big E countered and hit another big ending to retain the WWE Title.

* Big E saluted McIntyre after the match and McIntyre gave him a thumbs up.
