Report: WWE officials “unbelievably impressed” with Oba Femi’s main roster appearances

As seen during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th 2025, multiple NXT stars competed on the show including Oba Femi. Femi, who is the current NXT Champion, faced WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a match that ended with interference from Drew McIntyre.

According to a report from BodySlam.net, WWE officials were said to be “unbelievably impressed” by Femi’s appearances on SmackDown and Saturday Night’s Main Event. Since then, vignettes for Femi have aired on both SmackDown and Monday Night RAW, with the belief being that he will be called up to the main roster soon.

Sources have indicated to Bodyslam that officials view Femi’s potential as being on par with Bron Breakker. The report added that, “If Bron’s current push and trajectory tell you anything, it’s that Oba Femi will be a special, special case and a main event player for years to come.”
