Report: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs has officially signed with WWE

This week, it was confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com that “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs has officially signed a contract with WWE after departing AEW. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Hobbs joining WWE…

“Regarding Will Hobbs, he has signed here and I did see some promo work he’s done. He was good in a backstage setting but haven’t seen him do a long one in front of the crowd. Those in AEW said they believed he could handle that aspect. Nobody in AEW had anything negative to say about him, with us being told he made the decision based on his family, which would seem to indicate he got a better money deal.”

As of January 23rd 2026, neither Hobbs nor WWE has officially announced the signing. It remains unclear whether he would debut on the main roster or begin his run in NXT.
