Report on Shayna Baszler’s status with WWE following news that she produced an NXT match

In May of 2025, it was announced that multiple wrestlers were parting ways with WWE including Shayna Baszler. In an update, Bodyslam.net reported that Shayna was listed as a producer for the Kelani Jordan vs. Lainey Reid match from the July 2025 edition of NXT.

In regards to Shayna’s status with WWE, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio…

“The story on Shayna Baszler is this: she’s got another month. I think the date is August 2 when her 90 days is up, so she can’t wrestle anywhere until August 2. It came out that she was one of the agents for, I believe, the Kelani Jordan match, and the story was made out to be bigger than it was. She has been at NXT tapings. She has agented other matches, but this is the first one to come out. It’s not like she’s taken a job as an agent.
