Report on Adam Pearce’s new backstage role in WWE

It was previously reported that Adam Pearce has been promoted by WWE in regards to his role behind the scenes.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com confirmed that Pearce’s new title is Director of Live Events. Johnson noted the following…

“In the past, that role has usually meant overseeing live events and touring creative and lineups, so it’s another sign that WWE is preparing strategies for returning to the road.”

The role had been filled by Michael Hayes in the past. With Hayes focused on producing matches and segments for Roman Reigns, Johnson wrote that it’s a “case of Hayes putting his expertise elsewhere and Pearce moving up the ladder.”

It’s also being said that Pearce will continue to produce matches in his new role while overseeing other producers with Jason Jordan.
