Report: Bron Breakker’s creative direction at the Royal Rumble “was not dictated by any injury or health issues”

On Sunday night, it was reported that Bron Breakker had surgery for a “serious hernia” following the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble PLE. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following in regards to the situation with Breakker…

“The word making the way around Raw is that Bron Breakker’s hernia was an issue that had been ongoing prior to last week’s Raw but the determination was made that surgery was needed after his Raw appearance. For the MANY who have asked, Breakker’s booking in the 2026 Royal Rumble was not dictated by any injury or health issues. That was the creative that was decided for him at that event to start his run to Wrestlemania, which obviously has now changed due to the surgery being needed.”

According to Fightful.com, sources in WWE are optimistic that Breakker can return in time for WrestleMania.
