Report: 1990’s WWE and WCW star The Patriot passes away

The website postandcourier.com is reporting that “The Patriot” Del Wilkes has passed away at the age of 59 due to a “massive heart attack.”

Allen Wright Adkins wrote the following on Facebook…

“At the request of his family, its with a devastated heart that I let you know Heaven gained one of the most special men I’ve ever had the honor to know today. Del Wilkes, I’ve loved you for 40 years and always will. Rest in peace, my dear friend…you’ll be missed more than you could ever know.”

Wilkes wrestled for WCW in the early 1990’s and briefly in WWE during 1997 prior to retiring.
