Potential major spoiler for Cody Rhodes’ opponent at WWE Wrestlemania 41

It was reported this week that the rumored John Cena vs. Logan Paul match at WWE Wrestlemania 41 is “100 percent not happening.” According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, WWE is considering a Cena vs. Cody Rhodes match for the Undisputed WWE Universal title.

Johnson noted the following…

”We have heard that match mentioned by numerous sources over the last two weeks, as recently as yesterday. It should be pointed out that many of those sources have noted that everything is subject to change, especially if The Rock descends down from ‘Mountain Rock’ as one person joked) and wanted to work with either Cody or Cena at Wrestlemania, at which point any creative plans would be re-worked to fit into Rock’s vision.”

Ibou of WrestlePurists.com noted the following about Johnson’s report…

“Rock has to do Moana reshoots that were originally not planned and accounted for. The match on slate right now is Cody/Cena. Triple H has a couple WM cards prepared in case of emergency. WWE is working with card #2, Cena/Rhodes and Reigns/Punk being your headliners.”
