Potential challenger for Mercedes Mone emerges following AEW Dynamite’s six-year anniversary show

During AEW Dynamite’s six-year anniversary show, AEW’s TBS champion Mercedes Mone teased a match for the upcoming “Title Tuesday” special on October 7th 2025. Mercedes stated the following…

“Because we are celebrating six years of Dynamite, next week on Title Tuesday in Jacksonville, I’m going to put my TBS championship on the line. And not against anybody. Not against anybody in England, Japan, or Mexico. No, I want to face somebody local in the heart of AEW. I want to wrestle somebody from Florida. Because, you know, I’ve never wrestled in Daily’s place before. So, I want to make history yet again.”

Mercedes wrote in a post via Twitter/X, “Any local Floridians want to wrestle me next week?” Former WWE star Shotzi Blackheart replied with “👀👀👀👀👀” and Mercedes responded to Shotzi with “Oh 😏.”

As of Thursday morning, Mercedes’ opponent for the show has not been officially confirmed.
