Plans for a rumored WWE WrestleMania 42 match could be changed if Seth Rollins needs surgery

As seen during the October 13th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, The Vision turned against world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the angle was done because Rollins suffered an injury at the Crown Jewel PLE on Saturday.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there is concern within WWE that Rollins may need surgery on his shoulder or rotator cuff. However, others in the company are reportedly adopting a “wait and see” approach, especially considering the previous storyline injury to his knee earlier this year.

Rotator cuff surgery could result in several months of recovery time for Rollins. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio

“Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don’t know this, but I have been told enough things to where I expected that there would be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point because the whole thing with this faction was not about Seth Rollins, it was about Bron Breakker, and about making Bron Breakker into the next Roman Reigns. Now, how they would do that, I wasn’t told that.”
