Planned match for AEW Dynasty 2025 reportedly changed due to injury

While yet to be officially announced, The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) are expected to defend the AEW tag team titles against Big Bill and Bryan Keith at the 2024 AEW Dynasty PPV event. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about what was initially planned…

“The tag title match was a change as Brian Cage suffered a knee injury on an independent show on 3/20 in Los Angeles against Chris Masters. So the originally planned but not announced Hurt Syndicate vs. Murder Machines match had to be changed and they had to pivot to new challengers, going with Bill & Keith.”
