People in WWE were reportedly not satisfied with the ring collapsing spot from Last Monster Standing match
As seen in the main event of WWE RAW on September 30th 2024, Braun Strowman defeated Bronson Reed in a Last Monster Standing match with help from Seth Rollins. While speaking on SportsKeeda’s WrestleBinge podcast, WrestleVotes stated the following about the ring collapse spot towards the end of the match…
“The performance [Reed’s performance] last night… overall, everybody loved it. This is specifically talking about the broken ring spot. Let’s just say it didn’t go as planned. They didn’t like the way it came off. They loved the performance of both those guys, the match itself was well praised, I mean the crowd was electric. I just think the actual spot of the ring breaking didn’t have the impact that it has had in the past, a lot of people expected it.
I did have a source who was there last night, the internal reaction instantly was, ‘Oof, not as big as we would have hoped.’ I don’t know if it was a mechanical thing or just the impact that it made. It looked as it did…to give a little more colour into what my source was referencing, this was probably the most predictable ring collapsing spot they’ve ever done. So when you know it’s coming, and it’s still not great, therein lies the problem. But not taking anything away from the performance prior to that.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
