Official WWE article mentions Austin Theory as potentially being the mystery attacker of CM Punk
As seen during the men’s War Games match at WWE Survivor Series 2025, a mystery masked man climbed into the cage. The man delivered a curb stomp to CM Punk and then climbed back out without identifying himself. The man’s identity was also not revealed during the December 1st 2025 edition of RAW.
An article on WWE’s official website mentioned several names as potentially being the attacker of Punk including the rumored Austin Theory. Here is what was stated about Theory by the author…
“If that wasn’t Theory dressed all in black, then I think we are kidding ourselves. The body build itself suggests it was him, but it makes all the sense in the world to be linked to Paul Heyman and The Vision. But as Triple H said during the critically acclaimed ‘Unreal’ documentary, ‘Sometimes the logical road becomes predictable. If it becomes predictable, you need to pivot.’ Theory may be too predictable, so it might be one of those pivot points Triple H was talking about. Nobody would be shocked if it was him, but I’m not expecting it.”
Other names listed were Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, John Cena, LA Knight, Becky Lynch, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles.
