NXT star Blake Monroe is in no rush to join the WWE main roster
While speaking to Sam Roberts, Blake Monore commented on being part of the WWE NXT brand…
“Just last week, we had a loop in Washington, and I was in the gym when these two kids ran up to me and said, ‘I love NXT. It’s my favorite show. Can we get a picture?’ They were awesome. So for some people, that is their favorite show.
I don’t know why there’s this idea, ‘I need to be called up.’ I’m not in any rush. Like I said, I still have so much to do. I’ve hardly feuded with any of the women. I mean, Jordynne Grace wasted a lot of my time, and now Jaida Parker is chasing me around — but there are so many women I want to wrestle. I haven’t even gone after the main women’s title yet. There’s so much to do, and I definitely don’t look at it.
I haven’t even gotten to the main women’s title yet, and I think it’s because there’s so much competition. I can’t even cut a promo without somebody trying to interrupt me and make a name for themselves. I feel like I’m a title at this point.
So yeah, it’s definitely very competitive. Everybody comes from a ton of different backgrounds — mainly sports — so I feel like they’re animals in there, you know?”
