Nikki Bella’s husband Artem Chingvintsev reportedly arrested for domestic battery

TMZ.com is reporting that Artem Chingvintsev, the husband of former WWE star Nikki Garcia aka Nikki Bella was arrested on Thursday morning. According to court records, Artem was booked into a Napa County, CA jail on a felony domestic violence (battery) charge. PageSix.com noted that bail was set at $25,000.

According to TMZ.com, a rep for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic-violence call at a location in the town of Yountville shortly before 10:00 AM. A arrest was made at the scene and injuries were reportedly involved. The alleged victim has asked for “total confidentiality” and there is an ongoing investigation.

TMZ stated the following about the situation…

“Unclear what led up to Artem’s arrest or the circumstances … but it’s worth noting Artem’s wife, former WWE star Nikki Garcia, posted an Instagram Story on Wednesday revealing she was in Napa too. At this point, it is unknown if she was involved in any way.”

“The booking code indicates Chigvintsev’s charge was for corporal injury to spouse and he was given a $25,000 bail, according to intake records obtained by PEOPLE. It has not yet been confirmed but given the charge, Chigvinstev’s wife Nikki Garcia (formerly Nikki Bella) is presumably the spouse in question. PEOPLE has reached out to reps for Chigvintsev and Garcia for comment.”

Artem, who met Nikki through his role as a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars, appeared on WWE’s Total Bellas reality show.
