Nick Aldis on WWE preventing storyline leaks: “There are certain things where it’s like levels of clearance at the CIA”

While appearing on Konnan’s podcast, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis (who has also worked as a producer) commented on how WWE prevents storyline plans from leaking online…

“I will say that there are several situations that I’m not privy to. You know, it’s a very, very small group that’s aware of certain things. There are certain things where it’s like levels of clearance at the CIA or something. My level of clearance gets me into the production meetings and stuff. But then there are moments where it’s like, ‘Okay, everyone leave except for these people,’ kind of thing.

There have been several surprises just here recently. [Matt] Cardona, for example. I didn’t know about Cardona. [CM Punk] that was another one I didn’t know about. And that was unbelievable, dude.”
