News regarding which match will main event the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PPV event

Heading into the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PPV event, USANetwork.com published the following preview of CM Punk’s Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre…

“The main event promises to be a classic — but a word of warning: there may be times when the
WWE Universe may want to look away. Punk and McIntyre hate each other, and there’s no telling what they’ll do once they find themselves locked inside Hell in a Cell!”

USA Network’s article ended up being edited and no longer describes the HIAC match as Bad Blood’s main event. According to internal plans obtained by Fightful.com, the current working plan is for Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline to close the show.

The Georgia Tech vignette that highlighted Cody’s local ties, along with plans for The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff school band to perform his entrance, have suggested that the tag match will close Bad Blood. Reigns’ connection to the Atlanta area is believed to have also influenced WWE’s decision.
