News regarding Von Wagner being on the list of wrestlers reportedly released from WWE

This past Friday night, it was announced that five wrestlers including former world champion Jinder Mahal and Xia Li were no longer with WWE. On Monday, Fightful Select confirmed that Von Wagner was also on the list of released talent from Friday. Wagner, who is the son of former WWE stay Wayne Bloom, joined WWE in March 2019 and last wrestled on the April 2nd 2024 edition of NXT.

In regards to why Wagner and Xyon Quinn were cut, Fightful noted the following…

“We’re told that there were never any significant creative plans on the main roster for either man. It was also reiterated to us by WWE sources that all of the releases that occurred were talent who had been with WWE for 5+ years, and felt that the trajectory of the talents didn’t match the experience level in the company in many cases.”
