News regarding there being a push within AEW to hire former WWE star Shelton Benjamin

Last week, multiple WWE superstars were released from the company following Endeavor’s acquisition including Shelton Benjamin.

According to Fightful Select, the word is that numerous talent in AEW are hoping that Benjamin will work with the company in some capacity. Furthermore, people were reportedly pushing for him to join AEW several months ago when there were incorrect rumors that his contract was going to expire.

Fightful also noted the following…

“We’re also told that completely separate of talent that have pushed for Shelton Benjamin, that AEW has been looking to add producers, to hopefully get to the point where they can have each producer work one match per show.”

Benjamin will turn 49 years old in January.
