News regarding Ricochet’s decision to apologize for his “I’m glad you got MS” message to fan
Following the 2026 Revolution PPV event, AEW released a video of Ricochet delivering a post-match promo. A fan known as Sandi T. commented, “His acting hasn’t improved.” Ricochet responded with, “I’m glad you got MS.” After the exchange sparked backlash online, Ricochet removed the post and issued an apology.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com was told that neither AEW nor Warner Brothers Discovery made Ricochet apologize. After Ricochet issued his apology, AEW officials reportedly told him that it was the right thing to do. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com went into additional details…
“What ended up happening was one of his friends called him and said, ‘You really should take the tweet down.’ So he took the tweet down, and upon thinking about it, he then apologized. Nobody forced this apology or anything like that. He decided to apologize and he did. She (Samantha Irvin) decided to deactivate her account because she was starting to get death threats.” (quote courtesy of Cultaholic.com)
At this time, there is no word regarding Ricochet’s future with AEW. He did not wrestle at the Dynamite/Collision tapings on Wednesday night in Fresno, CA.
An update: I've been told that AEW nor WBD made Ricochet apologize. AEW officials told him afterwards it was the right thing to do.
