News regarding MJF being removed from The Hurt Syndicate faction
As seen during the August 6th 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite, MVP stated that MJF was officially out of The Hurt Syndicate faction. MVP gave MJF a thumbs down and said the following…
“Your ego is more than anybody can stand. And that’s coming from me. So, it is what it is, brother. And as my last act of kindness to you—because I do love you like a little brother—we will leave you in one healthy piece so that you can pursue your big, beautiful belt. And I hope you fail in your endeavor, because if you succeed… Bobby Lashley is coming for you. And it won’t be business. It will be very personal.”
In regards to the booking decision, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following…
“The alliance with MJF and the Hurt Syndicate was supposed to last much longer. That was not an MVP request but supposedly from another member of the group so that’s why the angle was just cut off so quickly.”
MJF is currently feuding with AEW world champion “Hangman” Adam Page and a match between them is rumored for the Forbidden Door PPV event.
