News regarding Asuka ahead of the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble PLE
WWE star Asuka hurt her knee during the March 15th 2024 edition of Smackdown but worked through it until the 2024 Backlash PLE. Asuka later revealed that she had surgery.
According to Fightful.com, creative plans have been discussed and pitched in regards to an Asuka return. Specifically, there was word of a potential tag team match option that was pitched but ended up being shot down.
Asuka’s status for the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble PLE is unclear. While there is internet speculation about Asuka, nothing has been reported yet in regards to her coming back at the event. There is no word if Asuka has been back training at the Performance Center or not.
