News regarding AEW ticket sales heading into the 2023 Grand Slam edition of Dynamite
Tonight is the 2023 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. Over the past few weeks, AEW struggled to sell tickets to the event. On Monday, AEW had 7,493 tickets distributed while the 2022 Grand Slam had around 13,800 in attendance.
Due to local media in New York City, including world champion MJF on CBS New York and his appearance at a New York Mets game over the weekend, AEW has seen a late surge in ticket sales. Twitter/X account @WrestleTix noted the following about Tuesday’s ticket sales…
“A big media day involving MJF, Tony Khan and others appearing in the area led to an increase of 1,143 tickets distributed since yesterday’s update. They added several rows in sec 314-318 ($30 per). The top halves of sec 329-333 dropped off (this happened last year but they eventually came back) so those aren’t figured into the count yet.”
