News regarding AEW contracts expiring and possibly not being renewed
As previously noted, Lio Rush announced that his AEW contract will be expiring next month.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there are more AEW contracts that will be expiring in the next couple of months. Johnson wrote the following…
“There are several contracts coming up that will not be renewed in addition to the departing Rush, who announced today his deal expires next month. We are told that AEW will not be announcing the departures but will instead let the deals quietly lapse.”
According to Johnson, Peter Avalon’s AEW contract recently expired and it’s believed that Brian Cage, Joey Janela, and Marko Stunt have deals that are up soon. Johnson added that if contracts aren’t renewed, some of the talent could still work for AEW on a per appearance basis.
