New details regarding the fallout from Jade Cargill’s social media comments about Rhea Ripley
On Monday, Rhea Ripley wrote that she was “not having fun” and seemingly accused Jade Cargill of “breaking the fourth wall” after the two engaged in a Twitter/X exchange involving other WWE stars. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com initially noted that the situation was a “work” and “they’re trying to make it out like it’s a shoot.”
New details have emerged regarding the fallout from the online exchange. Sources told Bodyslam.net that Rhea was legitimately upset over Jade’s claim that she spends hours talking to creative, which is why Rhea posted — and later deleted — a message on her Instagram story ahead of RAW.
Another source noted that while there appears to be some genuine tension between the two, it is not expected to impact their ability to work together as WrestleMania approaches.
There is reportedly no backstage heat stemming from the exchange, but there was some disappointment, as the situation was not part of the storyline originally planned to unfold on television.
According to PWInsider.com, several talents have reportedly criticized Jade for rubbing people the wrong way, and when her back-and-forth with Rhea began, others were quick to voice their own frustrations. Sources claimed this was not the first time Jade had upset colleagues and suggested that reports of her being injured last year may have covered for personal issues, which led to her time at the Performance Center.
Another source attempted to downplay the situation but acknowledged that management is expected to speak with Jade about her standing in the locker room. While talent has been willing to support efforts to get her over, some feel that the respect shown to her is not always reciprocated, with one person describing her as coming across ‘insecure’ despite having little reason to feel that way.
