New 2022 commentary teams for WWE RAW and Smackdown revealed

Variety.com confirmed earlier reports that there would be changes to the WWE RAW and Smackdown commentary teams starting with the 2022 “season premiere” episodes. The new teams are as follows…

RAW: Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves
Smackdown: Michael Cole and Wade Barrett
NXT: Vic Joseph and Booker T

According to WWE, Michael Cole and Corey Graves will be the commentary team for premium live events. Pat McAfee is still expected to return as a commentator following his commitments to ESPN’s College GameDay. Fightful.com was able to confirm through a WWE rep that Jimmy Smith is done as a WWE commentator.

Variety also noted that Cathy Kelley is returning as a backstage interviewer. Byron Saxton will also be doing backstage interviews.
