MVP reveals how his fire stunt with Kane from WWE Armageddon 2006 was pulled off

During a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, former WWE star MVP reflected on his Inferno match against Kane at WWE Armageddon 2006. MVP explained how the stunt was pulled off…

“Yeah, working with Kane in the inferno match was terrifying. They set me on fire, man. I was literally on fire. The cool thing about it was that underneath I had, like, a flannel suit that was dumped in this like freezing cold gel, and then on top of that I had a dry one, and then the seamstress had to sew the top and bottom together, and then I had the real outfit on top. That gel was so cold that my balls were, like, up in my stomach. But, when it came time to do that match and he set me on fire, that helped out a lot.”

“But one of the crazy things about it…every time the flames go up around the ring, there’s gas that precedes the flames. At one point I was down selling, and right as I was taking a breath the gas came out before the flames came up and I couldn’t breathe for a few seconds. I was actually scared.” (quotes courtesy of ITRWrestling.com)
