Mike Santana wins the TNA world title from WWE NXT’s Trick Williams at Bound For Glory
As seen during the 2025 TNA Wrestling Bound For Glory pay-per-view event, WWE NXT star Trick Williams defended the TNA world title against Mike Santana. After several counters and nearfalls — including Williams hitting a Trick Shot that only got two — Santana made his comeback. He eventually connected with a discus lariat to score the pinfall.
As TNA President Carlos Silva arrived to present the belt Santana, “Call Your Shot” co-winner Nic Nemeth tried to cash in his title shot. However, the lights went out, and when they came back on, Elijah appeared and struck Nemeth with a guitar. Frankie Kazarian then rushed in attempting to cash in as well, but since he didn’t have the trophy, it was ruled invalid. After Santana cleared the ring, he handed the TNA World Title to his daughter.
