Mercedes Mone aka Sasha Banks fuels internet speculation about her potentially returning to WWE

Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) hasn’t wrestled since the NJPW Resurgence event on May 21st when she suffered an ankle injury. Earlier in December, Mercedes published a video of herself training which has fueled speculation about her return to the ring soon.

In recent weeks, Mercedes has shared cryptic photos via her Instagram stories that have fueled internet speculation about her potentially returning to WWE. Last week, Mercedes posted photos of her WWE Funko figures.

On December 27th, WWE held a live event at the TD Garden in Mercedes’ hometown of Boston, MA and Mercedes shared a photo of herself outside of the venue. While Mercedes didn’t appear on the show, fans have continued to speculate that she could return to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE. NXT announcer Booker T recently predicted that Mercedes/Sasha will return to WWE in 2024.

According to Fightful.com, the word within the industry is that Mercedes’ recent asking price for her wrestling services was above what Charlotte Flair reportedly got for her new WWE deal.
