Matt Hardy comments on WWE WrestleMania 42 being a “tough sell”

While speaking on his podcast, former WWE star Matt Hardy commented on ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas being down from the previous year

“It’s a tough sell, too. I mean, Vegas was so good last year. They did these record numbers, and I guess they bid for them to come back, right?

But it’s tough to go into the same market two years back to back. Those tickets are pricey, and economically — especially since the pandemic — it’s kind of been a roller coaster ride for everyone. It’s hard to justify spending that much money on tickets for entertainment. That isn’t something you have to have in your everyday life to survive and live and be okay.

So it’s a tough sell. But they’re confident, I guess, that they can do it for another year straight. And when it’s all said and done, by the time we get to WrestleMania, we’ll see if they were right or not.”
