Latest backstage details regarding The Rock’s status with WWE following appearance at Bad Blood
At the conclusion of the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a surprise appearance on the stage as Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were in the ring. Following the event, it was reported that there are currently not plans for Rock to have a match at Wrestlemania 41 as his “schedule got too heavy.” However, The Rock publicly stated “don’t believe any of that bullshit“ to a fan on Instagram.
According to Fightful.com, The Rock’s appearance at Bad Blood didn’t have a lot of heavy planning but the possibility became a reality in the weeks leading up to the event. This was what led to Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ tag match being the main event instead of CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre.
While The Rock’s status for Wrestlemania 41 remains unconfirmed, sources within WWE claim that the company is a priority for The Rock and he’s expected to be around in sporadic fashion. Some higher-ups stated that The Rock has made clear he’s a part of “the family” and will appear when he’s able to do so. In regards to a potential appearance on the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW, sources at the Intuit Dome in Southern California were hopeful The Rock would be part of the show and there is internal buzz.
