Kurt Angle believes he had a better career in TNA Wrestling than with WWE
During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Kurt Angle said the following in response to the idea that he was more proud of his TNA Wrestling career compared to WWE…
“I had a better career too, I had better matches, and that’s really hard to say because I had some really great ones in WWE, but I came into my own, when you’re a wrestler you don’t really come into your own until 6 or 7 years into the business, and that’s right when I quit WWE and went to TNA. I was having some knock down drag out matches with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Roode, James Storm, a lot of great talent, Motor City Machine Guns, Jay Lethal, just a lot of great talent down there to work with.”
“When I left WWE, I was salivating at the mouth because I saw so much talent in TNA that was untapped, that I was like I can’t wait to get down there, and like I said before I think I had a better career there, so I do take pride in that. Once I went to TNA, I felt a whole slew followed me; Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, you name it they were coming to TNA from WWE, so we had a lot of good years with a lot of great talent, and I was just happy about my career in TNA.” (quotes courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)
