Kevin Owens injury scare during weekend WWE live event
At the Fort Wayne, IN WWE houseshow this past weekend, it appeared as though Kevin Owens injured his ankle during his tag match with Sami Zayn versus the Usos. After the match on Saturday, Owens was seen limping and needed help from others to make it to the backstage area. Owens did appear later during the Cody vs. Solo main event match as a run-in, though visibly limping.
On the following night in Toledo, OH for a Sunday houseshow, he literally performed the same actions (tag match + run-in) and he appeared fine. It’s likely that he received treatment and had the ankle taped up to perform.
Being able to perform on the following houseshow after injuring an ankle could be a good sign that Kevin Owens should be ready for his tag match with Sami Zayn to take on the Usos at the 4/28 WWE Smackdown. That said, if there are any further injury concerns, it could create some creative possibilities for how this match turns out.
