Kevin Owens’ future with WWE in 2025 uncertain amidst contract rumors

This past May during an interview with The Metro UK to promote the 2024 Backlash: France PLE, Kevin Owens noted that he had nine months left on his WWE contract.

In an update on Owens, Fightful Select noted that he has been approached for a new contract. The word is that Owens has not signed a new deal as of yet but there has at least been communication made between Owens and WWE.

Fightful also noted the following about Owens and AEW…

“Those that we spoke to in AEW said that the company has long had major interest in bringing Owens in when and if he’s available. They’re expected to make him an offer if he reaches free agency.”

Cory of PW Nexus wrote that WWE “is working hard right now on extending current talent contracts and signing former talent to nostalgia deals.”
