Kevin Nash on the McMahons: “They’re my Republican family but they’re family”

Last week, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley criticized United States President Donald Trump’s negative comments about the death of film director Rob Reiner. In a follow-up, Foley announced that he is “parting ways” with WWE due to the company’s association with Trump.

During his podcast, Kevin Nash commented on the situation…

“I understand it, and if that’s how Mick feels, I get it from Mick’s standpoint. But for me personally, I had some people text me like, ‘You going to follow suit?’ And I was like, ‘Uh, well, let me explain my position.’

When I was Diesel, they flew my wife up to New York City. Linda [McMahon] took my wife out for the day — like a girls’ day out. They had dinner at the Rainbow Room that night. That was my wife’s first visit to New York City while I was busy doing a commercial and other things. Linda took care of my wife, and I’ll forever be grateful for that because my wife was really nervous… I look at the McMahons as family. They’re just family to me.

Linda knows what my political views are. I remember we were at the Barclays Center where the Nets play, and they have those big elevators that can hold like three Suburbans. There’s parking inside and outside. Her Suburban was coming out, and I walked up to it. Her security detail stopped me. She looked at me, and the look she gave me was priceless — like, ‘You f***ing liberal.’ Then she said, ‘Ah, he’s okay.’ I went over, gave her a hug, and asked how she was doing. She said she was fine.

They’re my Republican family but they’re family.”
