Jim Ross feels that WWE should “lose sleep” over Mick Foley parting ways with the company

Earlier this month, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley criticized United States President Donald Trump’s negative comments about the death of film director Rob Reiner. In a follow-up, Foley announced that he is “parting ways” with WWE due to the company’s association with Trump.

While speaking on his podcast, AEW personality Jim Ross reacted to the news…

“I think the world of Mick Foley. If I had my territory, he’d be another guy that I’d have joining Gunther on the roster, so to speak. He’s just a wonderful human being. He’s got high principles. He’s very sensitive. He’s very intelligent. And if he said he’s done, he’s done.

So, I don’t think anybody in WWE will lose any significant sleep over it, but they might. They should. He’s a valuable asset. But in any event, you never know how it’s going to end up at the end of the day. I know that what he said, he meant. He’s very disillusioned with WWE’s support of Trump, but he joins a lot of people, because Trump’s not the most popular guy.”
