Jim Cornette issues response to being publicly criticized by Seth Rollins

In December of 2025, WWE star Seth Rollins noted that he “hates” former WWE personality Jim Cornette. Rollins said the following about Cornette…

“He’s just a victim of the hot-take culture where he has to say the craziest thing that comes to his brain, and that’s how he makes his money on his podcast.”

During his podcast, Cornette issued a response…

“He said that what he had to say was to placate Becky [Lynch], who’s still wounded, I’m sure, about what I had said about their spawn. But then he said nice things about me. But I do agree with him—Vince Russo’s not entertaining, and I am. So, see? We’ve found common ground again.

I love Seth. What a talent he is. He’s tremendous. And yes, he’s correct—I was, and continue to be, very entertaining. [Do you think he really hates you?] I don’t think so. I don’t think that if we were in the same room together and he had a blunt instrument in his hand, I don’t believe that he would cave my skull in. I’d think there would be other people standing in line to do that well before Seth Rollins.”
