Jeff Hardy reveals pitch he made for a ladder match that will “probably never happen”

During an interview with Rewind Recap Relive, Jeff Hardy said the following while discussing the topic of creative pitches in wrestling…

“I’ll go ahead and say that the one thing I never got to do—and I did pitch it a long time ago, though it’ll probably never happen—was a finish to a ladder match, or a TLC match, whatever. The idea was a wooden ladder hooked up with a lot of lighter fluid or something similar. As you’re climbing up to get the title, somebody lights it on fire and it just erupts in flames. That would be the reason you don’t get the title—or maybe you grab it but then fall. That idea is still up here and in here [in his brain]. It most likely will never happen, but who knows?”
