How influential people within WWE are said to feel about Malakai Black potentially making a return

New reports have come out that Malakai Black is “done” with AEW and could be returning to WWE when he becomes a free agent.

PWTorch.com noted that the expiration date of Black’s contract had been a point of contention. AEW reportedly wanted to extend the deal due to injury but Black was said to have pushed back. It’s believed that a deal was either reached or is in the works to have Black become a free agent although an exact date still hasn’t been revealed.

“Although most assumptions are he’ll return to WWE, as he sees the landscape there more palatable with Paul Levesque in charge of creative rather than Vince McMahon, he had told some people in AEW in the last year or two he was burned out and just wanted time away and perhaps even mentioned potentially retiring. PWTorch has heard that there are influential people in WWE who are big fans of Black and see him as a possible top singles act in the company, so it seems as if he’d be welcome back and embraced.”
