Heel turn seemingly takes place during the July 15th 2023 edition of AEW Collision

In the main event of AEW Collision on July 15th 2023, Ricky Starks seemingly turned heel when he pinned CM Punk while grabbing onto the middle rope to win the men’s Owen Hart tournament. After the match, Jushin Thunder Liger appeared on the stage to present the trophy to Starks but Starks yanked it away from Liger and took it with him to the backstage area.

In the women’s final, Willow Nightingale defeated Ruby Soho.
