Former WWE star Rezar claims that a “very unprofessional” incident with a Wyatt Sicks member led to AOP being released

While speaking to Ariel Helwani, former WWE star Rezar (Gzim Selmani) commented on his tag team The Authors of Pain being released from WWE. Here was the exchange…

Helwani: “Could I just ask about the end? What happened with the Wyatt Sicks and all that? This, this thing that people are saying led to you leaving the company. Can you tell us?”

Rezar: “Yeah, there was an incident, very unprofessional from one of those guys. I don’t know their names. You know, I don’t want to go into it too deeply, but there was an incident at one of the holiday tours that we did. And yeah, somebody tried to switch up the match during the match. And, you know, that’s just a no-go for me, especially if you’ve just been in the company for a little bit and we were already there for a long time. You know, you don’t do that. And, uh, yeah, I just had to let somebody know, and that was the end of it.”

Helwani: “So is that happening in the middle of the match, like you’re talking about this?”

Rezar: “They tried to switch up the match in the middle of the match, so you know, I’m a professional. You know, even if I got to take a beating in a wrestling ring, I do it. And if you’re going to be a scared little, you know, bitch, then it’s not my fault, you know? So I will let you know backstage.”

Helwani: “And the result was you winning and they tried to change it to you losing?”

Rezar: “No. It was, uh, you know, certain moves that we did got you—some of the guys didn’t want to take it because they were, uh, yeah, we’re big guys. So if we lift you up and double spinebuster somebody 5 days, 5 nights in a row, then the 6th night, you know, somebody can complain, but don’t change it during the match.

Helwani: “Sure. No, I get that. And, and that was it? That was an argument backstage and then you were done?”

Rezar: “Yes.”

Helwani: “Did you think that was fair?”

Rezar: “It happened, you know, I’m okay with it.”

Helwani: “Okay, you’re at peace with it?”

Rezar: “Yeah.”
