Former WWE star addresses report about reaction to Blood and Guts match

As previously noted, Dave Scherer of PWInsider.com reported the following regarding WWE’s reaction to the Blood and Guts match from last week’s AEW Dynamite…

“I have heard from people in management and they hated it. One person told me, and I quote, ‘That just set the business back 30 years’.”

Former WWE star Damien Sandow (Aron Stevens) commented on the report…

I heard someone said the @AEW Blood and Guts match set the business back 30 years. #1. it was awesome. #2. Considering what some companies are putting out there, 30 years back would be a vast improvement.

Well, I agreed 30 years ago the industry was better. Established characters, compelling storylines. It wasn’t all perfect but in general I thought it was heading in a better direction. Ratings and attendance also supports my statement. Pre-Covid of course
