Former WWE NXT star Jazmyn Nyx addresses her boyfriend publicly referring to wrestling as “fake”

This past month, it was reported that WWE NXT star Jazmyn Nyx will not be renewing her contract with the company. Since then, a video has surfaced around social media of Nyx’s boyfriend repeatedly calling wrestling “fake.”

While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Nyx addressed her boyfriend’s comments…

“If you watch the video, you can see that it was satire. And he knows, I come home with bruises and scratches, broken nose, split open nose. Obviously, he knows it’s not fake. And we have this conversation every single day. If anyone, he’s like, ‘Oh, my God, how do you do this every day?’ He’s the first person to put it over.

His character, just like how there’s heels on WWE, there’s villains in reality TV, and he’s a villain. And so I think that’s how people have to look at it in terms of that. But when he says it’s fake, he says it’s fake and then goes on in the video to show basically the opposite. He’s hitting the ropes like, ‘Oh, my God, this hurts. My back.’ He’s getting his butt beat by me. So obviously, he knows that’s the whole point of the video. It’s basically putting it over.”
