Ethan Page says AEW “didn’t know what they had” with him until he left the company for WWE

WWE NXT star Ethan Page did an interview with Busted Open Radio and said the following about his success since joining the company…

“This company is run by wrestlers. [AEW] didn’t know what they had, and now they do. I’m gone. These guys have me. They have the ability to do whatever it is that they want, and they have chosen to open a door for Ethan Page to absolutely kick wide open.” (quotes courtesy of Jeremy Lambert)

Page also commented on having a backstage segment with The Rock…

“I’ll tell you exactly how I felt. I literally told him as well. I started wrestling when I was 16 years old. This is where Ethan Page was conceived. I always envisioned Ethan Page on screen with The Rock. Ultimate goal. Number one, bucket list. Let’s check it off. I just skipped an entire line of goals to my number one goal and checked that puppy off. I got to tell him to his face that I got to achieve that. And on top of it, let him know what I brought to the table. Got to show him how talented I was. And at the end of the day, that’s the man that’s in charge of the future of my career.”
