Early backstage news regarding WWE’s plans for the John Cena retirement tour
As seen during the 2024 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, John Cena announced that he plans to retire from wrestling in 2025. Twitter/X account @WRKDWrestling wrote that Cena “will be a heavy presence on the initial few months of #WWERaw joining Netflix, kicking off his retirement tour.”
While CM Punk has publicly expressed interest in having a match with Cena, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following…
“There are different names who have been talked about but we’re told nothing is for sure as far as opponents and he’s discussing who he would like to work with. There is a tentative schedule, including major arenas and overseas dates.”
