Drew McIntyre reportedly pulled from 4/7/23 Smackdown amidst rumors about his WWE future
As previously noted, Drew McIntyre’s future with WWE is uncertain as he has reportedly not agreed to a new contract yet.
In an update on McIntyre, PWInsiderElite.com noted that has seemingly been pulled from the 4/7/23 Smackdown in Portland, OR. McIntyre was reportedly slated to be on the show and in addition to that, McIntyre was supposed to be at a local Cricket Wireless signing prior to Smackdown but was replaced by Intercontinental champion Gunther.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reported that McIntyre was pulled from Smackdown due to a “health issue” although there is no further word regarding his status or when he’ll be back. Meltzer also noted the following regarding the initial story of McIntyre not agreeing to a new contract yet…
“In checking the story out, McIntyre did tell some of his friends that and didn’t expect it to get out, but the story is accurate but there’s nothing imminent as he hasn’t made any decisions at this point and it’s a long ways away.”
